West Devon Community and Voluntary Services


West Devon Community and Voluntary Services is dedicated to promoting voluntary community action by working with local voluntary and community organisations.   
From our offices in Okehampton and Tavistock, West Devon CVS supports these organisations by:
  • Developing the capacity, skills and knowledge of groups and volunteers through training events and one to one development support
  • Providing information through our newsletters, information bulletins and voluntary sector forums
  • Helping local organisations influence local policy and service development through working with statutory partners and collaborative partnerships
  • Supporting local organisations to become involved in service delivery
  • Supporting local volunteers to become involved in their communities through our Volunteer Centres in Okehampton and Tavistock
  • Offering organisational support services such as help with publicity, photocopying and loan of equipment
A small annual charge for membership has been implemented from 1st January 2009 as follows:
Any group in 1st year of operationFree of charge
Groups with a turnover of under £10k per annum£5
Groups with a turnover of over £10k per annum 
£15
Statutory or other organisations

Our offices are open from 10am till 2pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
