Planning Committee to be held on Monday 16 January 2012 at 7.00 pm in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Fore Street, Okehampton.

Declarations of Interest – Members are reminded that they should declare any relevant interest in the items to be considered.

Items requiring urgent attention - to consider those items which, in the opinion of the Committee Chairman, should be considered by the meeting as matters of urgency (if any) to be taken at the end of the meeting.

1.         Apologies for Absence - To receive apologies for absence from those Members     unable to attend.

2.         Deferment of Business - For comment by the public.

3.         Members’ Questions - To receive questions from Members regarding the workings           of the Committee.

4.         Minutes - To confirm, approve and sign the minutes of the meeting held on 19 December 2011.

5.         Okehampton Primary School - S Niles (DCC Strategic Planning Officer Education) plus J Perry (WDBC Planning Officer) will attend the meeting to discuss the proposed primary school for Okehampton.

6.         Matters Arising -

6.1       Core Strategy/Town Plan - To receive a brief verbal report following the meeting with Borough Officers on 12 January 2012.

6.2       WDBC Workshop - Town Centre Shopping and Leisure Study - To receive an invitation to attend this event at Bridestowe Village Hall on Monday 30 January 2012, 2-4 pm.

6.3       Integrated Traffic Plan - To receive a progress report.

6.4       Wadlands Road Area Black Refuse Bags - To receive a progress report from Councillor A Leech.

7.         Plans - To consider all plans received at the Town Hall up to Monday 16 January 2012.

8.         Baldwin Drive Proposed Development Linden Homes - To note an exhibition of this development will be held in the Museum of Dartmoor Life on Tuesday 17 January 2012, 11-5 pm.

9.         Traffic Speed on Leaholes Avenue/Barton Road - To examine this issue at the request of Councillor Mrs K Bickley.

10.       Update on EV-Friendly Project - To receive a report from Councillor Mrs K Bickley.

11.       Members’ Reports - To receive reports from Members attending other organisations on behalf of the Council:

(i)         Okehampton Regeneration meeting - Councillor P Vachon/Councillor M McDonald.

(ii)        Ockment Centre - Councillor A Leech.  Children’s Centre - Councillor C Marsh.

(iii)       Senior Council - Councillor M Morse

(iv)       Dartmoor Railway Supporters’ Association - Councillor M Ireland.

(v)        Destination Okehampton - Councillor K Ball.
