Parks Committee to be held on Monday 16 January 2012 at 8.00 pm, or at the rising of the Planning Committee, in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Fore Street, Okehampton.

Declarations of Interest - Members are reminded that they should declare any relevant interest regarding items on the agenda.

Items requiring urgent attention - to consider those items which, in the opinion of the Committee Chairman, should be considered by the meeting as matters of urgency (if any).  To be taken at the end of the meeting.

1.         Apologies for Absence - To receive apologies for absence from those Members unable to attend.

2.         Deferment of Business - For comment by the public.

3.         Members’ Questions - To receive questions from Members regarding the workings of the Committee.

4.         Minutes - To confirm, approve and sign the minutes of the Parks Committee meeting held on 12 December 2011 and the special meeting held on 5 December 2011.

5.         Matters Arising -

5.1       Clapps Wood - To receive a report on the current situation.

5.2       Dog Fouling -

(i)         To receive a report from discussions with Borough Officers, Clerk to report.

(ii)        To consider extending the contract arrangements with the ‘Dog Warden’.

5.3       Telephone Kiosk - To examine options for use for this facility.

5.4       Carousel Play Equipment - To receive a report from the Clerk.

5.5       Queen’s Diamond Jubilee 2012 - To note the date of the next meeting, 22 February 2012.

6.         Members’ Reports - To receive reports from Members attending other organisations on behalf of the Council.

(i)         Parklands Leisure Centre Users’ Group - Councillor D Weeks, D Bent.

(ii)        Okehampton Community Recreation Association - Councillor D Weekes.

(iii)       North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Group - Councillor M Ireland.

(iv)       Tennis Court Management - Councillor Marsh, D Bent.

(v)        Okehampton Community Archive - Councillor D Weekes.
