Property Committee to be held on Monday 9 January 2012 at 7.00 pm in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Fore Street, Okehampton.

AGENDA

Declarations of Interest - Members are reminded that they should declare any relevant interest regarding items on the agenda.

Items requiring urgent attention - to consider those items which, in the opinion of the Committee Chairman, should be considered by the meeting as matters of urgency (if any).  To be taken at the end of the meeting.

1.         Apologies for Absence - To receive apologies for absence from those Members unable to attend.

2.         Deferment of Business - For comment by the public.

3.         Members’ Questions - To receive questions from Members regarding the workings of the Committee.

4.         Minutes - To confirm, approve and sign the minutes of the Property Committee meeting held on 21 November 2011 and the special meeting held on 5 December 2011.

5.         Matters Arising -

5.1       Solar Energy/Photovoltaic Systems - To receive a progress report from the Chair on the above system for the civic buildings.

5.2       Energy Supplies -

(i)         To note and endorse new terms and conditions for electricity supplies for the civic buildings, Clerk to report.

(ii)        To endorse the purchase of low energy light bulbs.

(iii)       Monitoring exercise on heating and lighting, Councillor K Bickley to report.

5.3       Street Traders’ Licence/Okehampton Market Charter - Clerk to report on researches.

5.4       Asbestos Survey Civic Buildings - Chair to report.

6.         Members’ Reports - To receive reports from Members attending other organisations on behalf of the Council:

(i)         Chamber of Trade - Councillor K Bickley.

(ii)        Town Twinning Association - Councillor P Vachon.

(iii)       Simmons Homes Charity - Councillors M Davies, M McDonald, C Marsh.

(iv)       Charities of Holditch - Councillor C Marsh/Mayor.

(v)        Museum of Dartmoor Life - Vacant.

(vi)       Battle of the Bands - Vacant.
