Town Council Constitution

We have published the Town Council Constitution to enable the public to understand how we run council affairs. It will give the general public an idea of how we deal with a wide range of issues and the ways in which policies and decisions are implemented on their behalf.

Town Council Full Council Meetings

We publish all our Full Council meeting minutes on a regular basis as is required by the Freedom of Information Act. We also publish them because we are committed to involving the public in the democratic decision making process and believe that the best way to make constructive decisions is to provide everybody with the opportunity to participate and be informed about issues that affect their lives.

Town Council Planning Committee Meetings

We publish all our Council Planning Committee meeting minutes on a regular basis as is required by the Freedom of Information Act. We also publish them because we think that many people wish to keep up with their own applications and planning applications that may affect where they live and work.

The Planning Committee policy framework relates to the Crime and Disorder Reduction strategy and its role to ensure that the Council's strategy is taken into account in their comments in respect of planning applications.

Town Council Policy and Resources Committee Meetings

We publish all our Council Policy and Resources Committee meeting minutes on a regular basis as is required by the Freedom of Information Act.

The policy framework is responsible for service performance within the remit of the Committee.

The Policy and Resources Committee policy framework includes responsibility for the review and implementation of the Crime & Disorder reduction strategy as approved by Council. 

Town Council Parks Committee Meetings

We publish all our Council Parks Committee meeting minutes on a regular basis as is required by the Freedom of Information Act.

The Parks Committee policy framework is to be responsible for the review and implementation of the Development Plan and its constituent parts in respect of parks and open spaces and strategies as approved by Council. 

Town Council Property Committee Meetings

We publish all our Council Property Committee meeting minutes on a regular basis as is required by the Freedom of Information Act.

The Property Committee policy framework is responsible for the review and implementation of the plan/ strategy in respect of Council's property as approved by Council.
