Minutes of a Special Deferred Meeting of the Okehampton Town Council Property Committee held on Monday 14 December 2009 in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Okehampton at 8.50 pm

411. Apologies for Absence - There were no apologies for absence.

412. Deferment of Business (for comment by the public) - There were no members of the public present.

413. Members’ Questions - There were no questions asked by Members.

414. Budget 2010/2011 - The Clerk referred to the special meeting held on 7 December and progress thereat in the analysis of income and expenditure for the Town Hall with a number of amendments made eg inclusion of the sinking fund into the Town Hall account from the year end summary plus £6,000 towards the cost of alterations to the toilets.  The Chairman invited Members to examine the Charter Hall and Lower Market Hall accounts, explained these were estimates and referenced previous explanations on budgets.  The Clerk reported that projected expenditure on capital items, if not spent, would become earmarked reserves with balance monies remaining from foyer doors earmarked reserves together with gas boiler.  He explained an inclusion for foyer screens, foyer floor, Charter Hall floor drainage and toilet upgrading joint costs with the cinema.  The Chairman commented that these sums would be clarified at budget compilation time in January.  Members further noted capital works provision for the Market Hall for repairs to fascias and windows in the Lower Market Hall.

Members noted the entries, endorsed previous adjustments and on the proposition of Councillor Hodgson, seconded by Councillor Mrs McDonald, it was resolved that the figures as presented be endorsed and be accepted in principle for the financial year 2010/11.
