Caretaker Required - Okehampton Town Council

Okehampton Town Council is seeking to employ a part-time Caretaker

14 hours p/week

Starting salary SCP3 £12.85 p/hour rising to SCP4 £13.05 p/hour following successful completion of a six month probationary period.

The post holder will be responsible for facilitating events booked in the premises, general repairs and maintenance, security and cleanliness of the Town Hall and other council buildings. Some evening and weekend working is required. The postholder will be required to undertaken a basic DBS check.

Notice of Co-option

Okehampton Town Council has a Councillor vacancy on the North Ward and which it now intends to fill by Co-option.

Applications should contact the Town Clerk for information and the application form which can also be downloaded from the website.

The casual vacancy will be filled by co-option at a meeting of the Council at 7pm on Monday 23rd March 2026.

Closing date for applications is 5pm Thursday 19th March 2026.

Good News - The Council's Grant Scheme for this financial year has reopened as there is a small amount of funding left in the budget.

Local not-for-profit groups and organisations who have not already received a grant from the council during this financial year and invited to apply for a grant of up to £300 to assist with projects and initiatives that benefit the residents of Okehampton.

Applications must be received by 31st January for consideration by the Policy & Resources Committee on 2nd March 2026.
